ok to store feed in empty cat litter containers?

I have 4 cats and A LOT of empty plastic 20 pound cat litter containers. I was thinking about storing chicken feed in them. Is it ok to empty all of the litter out and put feed in? Do they need to be disinfected first? Thanks

Source of chicken feed in Columbus Ohio?

If I happened to be raising chickens in my backyard in downtown Columbus Ohio, where would be the closest store to buy chicken feed? There is a TSC in Galloway. Anything closer?
