    Light Sussex cockerel?

Thanks, I was unsure with the hackle feathers being more pointed than the other two. But in all other ways it looks like a big puller. Thanks

    Light Sussex cockerel?

Hi folks, I’ve got my Pekin Bantam raising three light Sussex chicks which are now 10 weeks old, the oldest is now 11 weeks and shows the hacker feathers of a Male and a longer black tail feather but no other characteristics. it’s definitely bigger than the other two and taller than the bantam...

    Prep a Surrogate?

I’ve done just that, put 6 under her and now there’s no egg envy with the other hen.

    Prep a Surrogate?

She doesn't share the same broody hackles and grumblings are the main...

    Demanding Chook

Hi Folks, I've just started with the forum and keeping chickens, starting with two Pekin Bantams and will be getting some Hybrids and Speckled Sussex next month. We've noticed that the dominant hen drives the other to despair when the more docile one wants to lay as the dominant will raise hell...
