The newest group of CL dad x CL, EE, or Leghorn hens. Theres one black one with a head spot which Im pleased about as that means black barred, more color variety for the flock.

Heres the butter colored Legbar cross. When she first hatched I thought she was a surprise white sport because she was yellow chipmunk striped, but its now evident shes a cross.

Pretty color! I have a Legbar cross pullet that is a lighter yellow color like butter. I was hatching randomly so not sure of cross but ill get a pic today.

Oh and if Im successful I'll post pics of the results (plus I didnt even know to call him Birchen, thanks!), cant wait, lil blackies lol:)

One of the young EE roos we kept from our early spring hatchings, my son named him Soldier Chicken.

So I aim to make some chicks for my one (i have four) sister and she wants black hens that lay blue eggs.
