We have a friend who had "house chickens" when he was younger, in Zimbabwe. They slept on top of the TV at night. Thought that was pretty cool!:eek::woot

Just sold our chickens yesterday...so sad...:(:th They were 4 beautiful Isa Browns, great layers, and great pets. very friendly. I miss them already...:hit:hit:hit

Ok, so if anybody else out the has those awful 'stickfast fleas' (The little black bugs that stick to your chickens faces and crowns) They are really hard to get rid of, I figured out how to get rid of them!!!:ya:wee If they are just on the faces, then all you have to do is rub Vaseline all over...

I have never had one of those, but they sound nice, have fun with them!

My chickens LOVE raw chicken scraps, (cannibals:lol::lau) and they are also CRAZY about rolled oats and oatmeal. Sometimes, when its cold out, I make them oatmeal, and serve it warm. They love it. They also like it when I soak their grains, in the summer though, because if doesnt dry it'll go...

I love chickens, that't all there is to say. They are such good pets, not only do they provide company, but they also provide eggs!

Hey everybody. I was just curious what you all think of batteries (the farms where they keep hens locked up for there eggs, meat ect.) I had 4 rescued battery hens (Rhode Island Reds) and they where the best chooks I have had. They where afraid of humans at first, but once you got to know them...

omg, I love frizzles as well. So cute with all their feathers pointing in different directions!

Bantams because they are so cute and they make great mothers, and Rhode Island Reds because they lay nice big eggs, and lots of them.

So, hold on.. what time did the other ones hatch? Can you hear peeping?
