    Thank you for your replies. I hadn't heard this before but it came from someone who got it from a feed seminar from one of the feed companies. Maybe they heard wrong or it was just wrong information. Just thought I'd run it by ya'll !

    Our 18 1/2 week old Welsummer laid her first egg (1.8oz) sometime today. This evening she is mostly just standing around, no interest in anything. I was able to get her to take a few drops of 'Sav-A_Chick'. She will run a few feet to get away from the rooster she doesn't like then will just...

    Hey Squatfisher, glad to see you posted your ?? here (I was going to suggest that!) Hopefully someone can help. Can you empty the new bag and check for mold? Also I would contact the company of the new scratch just to make sure there haven't been others with problems and to let them know.

    How often do pullets lay?

    How hot is it where you are? The prolonged heat and humidity has dramatically cut back on my girls laying; laying less and a little smaller.
