    Drinking Milk

thanks for all the advise. I guess I was going for the milk thing b/c I have a ton of it in the house. why not use whats handy rather than buying crushed oyster shells. How long will this deficiency last? How quick can they overcome it once I get them ample calcium?!?!

Last night I got an egg that had no shell on it. This has never happened before and no other eggs had thin shells. I am asssuming this is a calcium deficiency. I wanted to know what to give the chickens to correct this problem. Can they drink milk!?!? Ty

    Hawks vs. Chicken

We are wondering if a scarecrow would be enough to scare away a hawk? Just had one land in our tree and scare the chickens into the coop the second day having them, so they know they are here. Any thoughts...thanks!

    Sleeping chickens!

It appears our chickens are not sleeping on the roost but rather in the nests. They are still laying eggs but the are making a mess of the nests. Is this a problem and how do you recommend I get them to sleep on the roost or elsewhere. Ty
