Yes I’m looking at that now. My husband has done it to older birds and he’s ok with that. He did it as a child lol. Not me. I hate this but yes going to get him to put the poor thing out of its suffering immediately.
It also now seems to be laboured breathing. My husband thought to put it back with the mom and let nature take its course but I don’t think that’s a good idea. Others may peck at it or it could pass infection maybe? Shouldn’t take the chance. Do you agree?

And even if it is a sneeze it’s still respiratory. Just keep an eye and make sure it’s not getting worse. Ours had no discharge and seemed fine otherwise.
