    We could put them in our own soup pot, but I hate to see them go. But for the reasons you just stated I don’t know how to keep them safe from each other in the spring. We do have hawk and just saw a huge one yesterday. But I have started the “free to a good home” posts. Thank you for the info.

    Thank you. Ugh bummer. I ended up with 10 chickens, 5 are roosters! I only have 1 laying hen and need to figure out what to do before the fighting starts. I had to give away 3 roosters in Aug bc they were terrorizing my hen.

    Nope, no selling just for eating at home. I woken for a produce broker so I know all the rules/requirements and that’s way too much for me. Just trying to be more homestead here
