I had a chick hatch with 2 deformed feet , not splayed leg . The toes/feet are curled in, like it walks on its elbows is the best way I can describe it. Is this fixable? I don't know what to do the other chicks were walking all over it before I noticed .
UPDATE
the one that wasn't doing well and only laying down is now walking and playful !!!! One of the silkies still has pasty butt but it has improved ALOT!!!! don't know if it was the food , the water, or the heat but all seems to be on the mend
Yes I've been using the same bag . The bleach was added about 10 days ago first but over the weekend the neighbors added a new water line so I think he may have bleached it again Saturday when they put it in . I raised the heat lamp so fingers crossed
Ugh I hope they don't have a disease 😭 I paid alot of money for these guys 😭 and I have other grown chickens outside so I really hope their not sick and could possibly pass it.
There are 6 chicks in a really big tote they sleep under the light they don't act too hot or too cold the ones that are normal are running around being normal playful chicks . It is 91 under the light and 84 in the shade is say the brooder is 3ft long 2ft deep
A couple had pasty butt but I cleaned them off really good last night. I am using a heat lamp , I have them in a plastic tote brooder , I am not home at the moment to take pictures .these are from cackle hatchery they have been indoors since I've had them .
