Chicks dying help!

We recently had six chicks die out of ten.:hit the ones that died acted like yours, we got six more from the other store selling chicks and none died. the 6 from the first batch came from a different store than the others and was most likely a diseased batch.(ours also were on medicated feed and electrolyte water.)

so your chicks may have a disease.

91 is way too warm for 2 week olds. That can cause pasty butt and other issues. They should be able to tolerate 80 degrees by now. Do they have a cooler spot to go to? How big is the brooder for how many chicks?

There are 6 chicks in a really big tote they sleep under the light they don't act too hot or too cold the ones that are normal are running around being normal playful chicks . It is 91 under the light and 84 in the shade is say the brooder is 3ft long 2ft deep

Ugh I hope they don't have a disease 😭 I paid alot of money for these guys 😭 and I have other grown chickens outside so I really hope their not sick and could possibly pass it.

I would raise your heat lamp so that the warmest area on one end is 80-85. Those plastic brooders really can heat up. Keep the bedding dry and as clean as possible by changing it and adding fresh pine ahavings. If you losse any others, you can send their bodies in for a necropsy to look for a cause by your state vet lab:

Thank you ! I will raise it. We did just get a well put in and we had to bleach the water I wonder if that could play a factor into all this ?

I am going to give it a shot and try bottled water I also bought different feed . Fingers crossed it's something as simple as that .

A couple had pasty butt but I cleaned them off really good last night. I am using a heat lamp , I have them in a plastic tote brooder , I am not home at the moment to take pictures .these are from cackle hatchery they have been indoors since I've had them .
It's at about 91 , and I am feeding medicated Purina chick

I agree, I would raise the lamp.
Are you providing more heat than just the lamp? 84 on the "cool" side is still pretty warm.

What's the mill date on your feed bag - if it's fresh and doesn't smell bad, it's probably o.k. - it's the same feed you've been using for 2 weeks right?
How recently was the bleach added to the well?
