Sounds like Sambat has a better cross with the barred rock. I might try a white cornish male over a barred hen.
Most attacks with mine are night varmits.
I bought some cornish X w rock. And I have pure bred dc
and white cornish, l like the pure white cornish better than the others. But I'm going to cross the white c
with the dark c and see how they do.
Hey Bill, yea he's four. I leave him with one hen, fertility was'nt real good this year, but his chicks that do hatch are pretty good. I've got five nice ones out of his Grandson.
Yours look really good.
Thanks and have a great day
Thanks JR

I want to compare the hatchery type to sq. If the sq grow as well I see no need to keep the hatchery birds, but they were a gift so I'll raise a few. I know already that my Whites are growing much better than the Dark sq. I will raise all the Whites that I can and play around with the Dark.
Hi CanadianBuckeye,I like the looks of the hatchery hen better than the cock.I want to raise a few to see how the offspring compares to the SQ. I will still try to breed SQ to SOP and maybe cross some for meat. But I will be focusing more on the White Cornish.
Hello Cornish breeders! I've seen a lot of postings of people looking for White Cornish. I would like to hear opinions from those who want to preserve the breed toward sop and those who simply want to raise meat chickens. Should the numbers be increased to sop only? What do you think?
