Well, my career as a "criminal rooster dumper" is thankfully over...spoke w/ the owner of "Rusty" (the rooster) and explained the situation, asking her to please go w/ me to court, to verify that I wasn't dumping the bird. She is going to be out of town that day, but offered to pay the fine and...

Finally got through to someone "in the know"...I'm going down Monday morning and see if this can get straightened out...worst case scenario, the fine is $117...that's not as expensive as I thought it would be... Still, it really annoys me to be in this ridiculous position in the 1st place! :mad:

What's odd is that the "witness" (on the summons) seems to be an officer of the law...if so, why wasn't I simply arrested at the scene of the (alleged) crime? Lots I don't know, apparently!

I was told about a bill that, if passed, will require microchips to be implanted into each and every head of livestock, from chickens to hooved stock, and an annual fee...exceptions only being big corporate concerns... Can anybody tell me the name and/or number of this bill? Many thanks!
