Well , I finished the door to the run , a few more hinges and latches.
Got the apron installed also , gonna fill in with dirt and close up all the gaps and plant grass on top of the apron.

Moved our 4 week olds out to the new coop yesterday. Weather is beautiful, 80's during the day and 60's at night. I think they are enjoying the new space.
Went out around 10 PM and didn't here a peep.
I started them at about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks , they also have another little feeder with a mason jar attached that they eat out of too. I am moving them to the coop next week and they will only have the bucket feeder out there. I made a bigger one as well for when they are older.
Well , worked a little yesterday evening on adding more ventilation. This was about as much as I could add due to the interior framing. It's gonna have to work. Need to do a little trim work around the windows and of course add some fancy hinges and latches. Thanks again for the advice.
Well , looks like I might be adding more ventilation. Will see what I can come up with , shouldn't be to much trouble on that inner wall. Do yall think I should make it an open window covered with hardware cloth , but also have doors that can close if it is really cold ?
Thanks for the comments. Yes, gonna work on the anti-dig apron this week and get the door built for the run area. Yes , there are a lot of hinges and latches on this thing. My wife thinks I'm a little crazy. The solid doors on the end are on removable hinges and can be taken off during the heat...
Mary , The windows will all open and the end opposite of the run has 2 huge openings that will be covered with hardware cloth and open 90% of the time except during really cold weather, they will have alot of light and ventilation as well.Wait till you see it when it is finished.
Almost there , finished all the framing and doors, got it primed yesterday and will try to paint this week if weather permits. Then will put on the new metal roof. Will be getting new baby chicks next Saturday. Our dog Roscoe trying to figure out what we are building.
