hello, my 9 chicks are 1 1/2 weeks old right now, I tried to switch them from the regular chick feeder to the no waste bucket feeder, they would not use it, so I put the regular feeder back in the brooder, and boy did they attack the feeder. On my first batch of 7 chicks last year used the bucket feeder and still use a bucket feeder, but I think they were maybe 3 or 4 weeks old when I switched the feeders,
do you think they are to little right now to use the bucket feeder?
it is a 2 gal bucket with three - 1 1/2" elbows

how old were they when you started using the bucket?
a few of my little ones will use the bucket, but most will not.

I started them at about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks , they also have another little feeder with a mason jar attached that they eat out of too. I am moving them to the coop next week and they will only have the bucket feeder out there. I made a bigger one as well for when they are older.

my older hens use a 5 gal. bucket feeder, and I want to move the chicks out to the coop when they are about 5 weeks old, once they get moved out to the coop they will have to use a bucket feeder, right now I separated the coop with a fence so when i move the chicks out they are seen but not touched.
