    Thank you so much. Things are crazy right now. I'm sure things will start looking up. THANK GOD mom got a house when she had money (from a settlement) it was supposed to be a retirement home, and needs a lot of work. We won't be homeless tho, and that's more than I can ask for in this situation.

    thanks! I will pay it then. The Rhode island reds, blacks, and Americanas I just bought were 1.50/chick, so you can see where 6 bucks frightened me a bit. When I think about it, tho, I really do want them, and 6 bucks for a pet isn't that bad.

    I had some offered to me after I posted an add on CL. The youngest she had were 2 weeks old at $6/chick. is this too much?? I've never bought any silkie chicks before, maybe they're just more expensive? (just plain white, not for showing- just pets)

    I bought some new babies on Thursday. I wanted to get some silkies or maybe a breed that lays those super dark eggs, but I only have one brooder. If I get chicks from somewhere else, can I put them in the brooder with the chicks I already bought?

    She does do that! I never thought of that as a possibility. I will bring her to a vet tho, just to be sure. Thanks all!
