    Nice!!!! My 2 hens are 6 months ol and just started laying a couple of weeks ago...Yesterday my New Hampshire gave me a double yolker..I haven't seen this in years...today her egg is even bigger...if its a 3 yolker im taking a pic!!!

    Lil over 3 months and now they are free ranging with the rooster( still feed chick starter)....but they sleep in separate quarters but side by side with my older roo and older hen. I have a couple of questions for ya all... first off.. 1) until the Roo can catch the teenagers, he still jumps...

    When we were kids, my dad would play "the coolie pinching monster" with us 4 kids..for us Italians, coolie means your butt.. =} so that is the name of my coop... The Coolie Coop we are in the process of building a brand new coop...yea!

    I do have 3 more hens but they are almost 2 months old...not even close yet to be with him. In about a week or 2 they will be outside in their separate living quarters but visible to the hen and roo I have. They will learn from them 2. So hopefully this will be a lil distraction for him...

    Oh no...all during the day he has access to inside and she to go outside..they are free all day..its just that she doesn't want to come outside is all. they are not separated..they use to roam all over together on the property. Now she doesn't even do that with him.

    My first time raising babies. Ive been doing a lot of reading from here, so far so good cept my chicks seems to be doing the dust thing inside their cage we made them..can I make one for them or just wait till they are outside(coop) for good which will be about another week or 2..I already have...
