Im torn about advice to give chickens garlic. I have heard its great but also I have heard that onions, garlic and peppers can come up in the flavor of their eggs. Do you notice that at all?
Well now that the warm weather is coming, just make sure she gets over 8 hours of sunlight and give it another week or so. All chickens are different -just like humans. I bet she will get back in line soon. Good luck.

I agree 100% with Madelyn- sand is a better option for the chicks bedding- it helps in keeping the water clean because the sand just goes to the bottom of the waterer and it is still ok. And yeah anything is ok to prop up the waterer, -lids, tupperware, Legos etc. Anything yu have around. I...
Racoons are bad around here but I too have a fence that they actually have stayed away from. The hawks are my #1. Thankfully the crows are great warnings for the hawks. Can't free range my chickens anymore- now only when I am outside with my hens thanks to a Red Tail- scary things I feel.
