My masterpeice is complete! I've finally finished my coop and run (minus the paint) and it only took me about 6 months...lol. Well...i started it over the summer as an addition to the chain link pen my dad set up for me when i was in high school, for 6 little chicks my uncle gave me. I built...
Hey! Thanks! I had been planning on digging out a pond for my duckies last summer but realized it wouldn't be a possibility due to the layers of gravel underneath so this looks like the perfect alternative!!
Maybe but not necessarily, I had a bantam cochin pullet that had darker comb/wattles just like that and I assumed the same thing, then several weeks later she started laying eggs... So you never know;)
I have 3 pair of blue bantam cochins. Absolutely beautiful birds! Asking $20 per pair. They are approximately 9 months old and have been laying for several months now. They are great egg layers and each hen lays one small brown egg per day( One of them is laying brown eggs with dark brown...

I was just wondering....if one of those double yolkers is fertilized, would it be able to support two chicks until they hatched...would there be enough room???? Anyone ever heard of this???
Awwww! I hope he makes out ok!!! The same thing happened to me a few years ago and my husky Madeline tore a big hole in my pore little banty roosters back. I took him to the vet and had him x-rayed and got'em all stitched up. It was like 36 stitches or something but he did fine and the vet kept...
ok...I'll give that a try and see how it goes. You're right...it might not have anything to do with the other feed. Thanks a lot for the info! It was really helpful!
