Maybe but not necessarily, I had a bantam cochin pullet that had darker comb/wattles just like that and I assumed the same thing, then several weeks later she started laying eggs... So you never know;)

I have three young roo's that I am very attached to but they are reaping havoc with my flock and other roos. I was wondering do they eventually grow out of fighting, etc.? Does anyone know of any reputable place to get roosters nutered and how much it would cost? has anyone ever gotten this done...

same here..lol...all of mine like different treats. Some like eggs, some don't....some would rather have bread....some would rather have noodles. I have to bring out like 3 or 4 differents kinds of treats just to get them all to eat...lol.. their chicken counterparts, however, will eat anything...

I know its a long shot but are you sure she doesn't have any mites, her lack of color could mean she is anemic. If she does have some kind of parasite, they could be stealing the iron from her red blood cells. If so she might need a little extra TLC. Vet Rx is a great product. Also I would try...

I was just wondering....if one of those double yolkers is fertilized, would it be able to support two chicks until they hatched...would there be enough room???? Anyone ever heard of this???

Awwww! I hope he makes out ok!!! The same thing happened to me a few years ago and my husky Madeline tore a big hole in my pore little banty roosters back. I took him to the vet and had him x-rayed and got'em all stitched up. It was like 36 stitches or something but he did fine and the vet kept...

just got mine completed! I'll have to see if I can figure out how to make a page for it...lol:lol:
