    Bumblefoot hard scab. Please help

    I ended up soaking her again and dug with a exaco knife. Then I squeezed it like a zit and pop out it came. Very bloody but it stopped and I cleaned her up wrapped her and now she is sleeping in a separate area for the night. Very good girl!

    Hello all! My hen Fall has bumblefoot on her toe. Just noticed it today. She didnt limp at all or show any sign just a bump.     I personally wouldn't use kitty litter for the dust but I've also heard sand is a great option and does relatively the same thing.

    Failure to Pip Internally

    35% humidity is a big no. It's supposed to be 65% or higher. The temperature is fine. I would recommend using a broody hen to hatch. They do it best.

    What I did with my birds is get a kids pool and put a dog cage around it. Easy to just clean the pool out and then they don't kick bedding out.

    I'm planning to raise fall chicks, but I'm worried about weather.

    6 weeks seems a little early. I would do 8 weeks. Let them stay outside all day but at night take them inside. It will help them adjust when they are permanently outside.
