I saw something about heating bricks in a fire...they maintain heat for a long time. It was being used to heat a greenhouse...maybe that's an option...wouldn't wanna cook them though so i guess i'd have to be careful.
South Africa. I don't want my hens to sit on them...as mothers they are vulnerable to attack from a Caracal that often visits the farm...i've lost so many hens that way.

Is there any way to incubate chicken eggs without electricity? We currently have load shedding in our country (basically our power is regularly turned off for 2 - 4 hours). Our climate is rather warm..can i wrap the eggs up in something to keep them warm enough?

Two mornings ago we found a female Egyptian Goose flapping around on the dirt road leading out of our farm.
