I'll try the tuna tomorrow morning. The vet said he had no idea why she was so sick and skinny but gave me an antibiotic just in case and hope it helps, it has not really helped though
There are a few things wrong with her. She won't eat or drink anything, even her favorite things. Whenever she bends down to inspect something, or whenever I tilt her a little forward, a clear, sometimes cloudly, liquid comes pouring out of her mouth like someone turned the faucet on and then it...
I'm trying to figureout if one of my buffs has a crop problem, the only problem is I don't really know what an empty healthy crop should feel like in the morning. SHould it feel like an empty waterballoon where you can basically make both sides touch or should it be small squishy and more...
I was wondering what exactly an empty crop feels like because I'm trying to figure out if one of my buffs has an impacted crop. She keeps spitting out tons of clear liquid and doesnt look like she's absorbing any nutrients from her food...
Also, what exactly should an empty crop feel like in the morning. Like an empty water balloon where both sides can touch each other or like a muscular golf ball? Not sure
I have a three year old Buff hen who has lost a lot of weight and stopped eating and drinking as much as she used to. Three days ago she started barfing a clear liquid and it sounded as if she was gargling. When the vet emptied her crop to see if there was anything stuck, nothing but liquid came...
One of my Buffs has lost so much weight these past two weeks because of a mystery illness so we took her to the vet and he gave her some shots but he said she would probably die in a day. He didint know what she had either. Here she is four days later, and skinny. She won't eat much so I wanted...
she's not that old, but can this be fixed or is she just going to be a crunched up egg layer. I can't think of any reason why they would come out so crunched up and mushy.
My two year old buff Orpington has been laying soft but popped and crunched together eggs for a month. A few hours before it comes out, the yolk and the rest of the liquidy part of the egg comes out and splatters everywhere. Why aren't her eggs round and can this be fixed. I'm afraid that if I...
I've heard that well water contains nasty chemicals from previous farming in the area and am not sure if I should be giving the chickens well water because eventually we eat their eggs. I'm not sure if this is still harmful to humans. A few blocks away the water contained a harmful pesticide and...
I was wondering if I could use a propane torch to sterilize the chicken's run. There is no grass, just caked up dirt. The torch could possibly kill bacteria but I'm not so sure about the whole idea. I was looking at Red Dragon torches, any suggestions?
