Will Buttermilk help with weight gain?

There are a few things wrong with her. She won't eat or drink anything, even her favorite things. Whenever she bends down to inspect something, or whenever I tilt her a little forward, a clear, sometimes cloudly, liquid comes pouring out of her mouth like someone turned the faucet on and then it sounds like she is gargling. I have no idea where all of this liquid is coming from because she doesnt drink anything. She has lost so much weight even though I have been feeding her a little with a dropper. Her crop feels like it has no food and is full of liquid and it keeps filling up. I checked it this morning and it felt like a water balloon. I dont think its sour crop because the liquid doesnt smell. Her poops are little and they always look different. She doesnt have anything crawling on her. She is basically skin and bones and i dont know what else to do with her. Any help would be awesome.

One of my hens, a 7 lb Brahma, dropped to 2 lbs last fall. We did take her to the vet, because 1, wanted to make sure she didn't have something that would spread to the entire flock, and 2, out of all of the, Galena is the PET. She had a respiratory infection and was anemic. We brought her in every night to give some meds and would feed her scrambled eggs mixed with tuna and peas or salmon and corn. She became extremely friendly after that! Also, gained all her weight back. It just took time.

You do need to find out why your hen is dropping weight. Just adding extra food won't fix an underlying problem.

I'll try the tuna tomorrow morning. The vet said he had no idea why she was so sick and skinny but gave me an antibiotic just in case and hope it helps, it has not really helped though
