    Yes it can kill them because they can't vent. I use baby wipes to clean mine off.

    If you unscrew the wafer, and then screw it back on with ample room to turn it up, then you can adjust the temp again, mine did the same thing and that is how I fixed it. Let me know if that helps!!

    It may be a little too cool for them, but not by much.....what wattage bulb are you using?...the higher the wattage the higher the temp. will be.

    My chicks are outside now, but they always have access to a heat lamp....they are 3 weeks old. Temp is mid 60's during the day mid 40's at night.

    How long will 30 chicks be comfy in a 16sq ft coop with a 80sq ft run?

    From what I have learned, you can comfortably keep 1 chicken per every 3 sq. ft. ....hope that helps!
