Someone else had suggested that one that we thought was a Welsummer or Ameraucana may be a cream crested legbar, and I'm beginning to think that may be exactly the case!

Yeah, that was my hesitation. I'd hate to have to lose her(?) because that coloration is so beautiful. Guess we'll have to wait and see. As my wife put it, "Until one of them cock-a-doodles-doo, we'll assume none are roos!"
Thankfully (and surprisingly!) it's a free application and license. Just a little bit of a hassle to make sure you get it done. I appreciate that they want to make sure people aren't stuffing dozens of birds into a tiny coop, but I think they could probably provide more/easier to access guidance...
A morkie is a Maltese/Yorkie mix. They're generally little purse dogs (my wife's aunt places dogs for people in apartments), but our boy is a bit of an outlier at 17 lbs. Not overweight, just as if someone scaled him up to a bigger, proportional size.
