    Pullet comb

I got them at tractor supply in their fall chick days. They have laid an egg every day since they started, and are very sweet and docile birds. I give them five stars for sure!

The large one in the corner in the top pic is an Easter egger pullet, about 6 weeks old.

The top two with their combs visible are brown leghorns. Those are supposed to be pullets.

    Cockerel feathering

I don’t mind the breeds mixing. I was just getting a bit concerned with his slow growth. The other roosters I’ve had in the past feathered out rather quickly. But he’s healthy, and that’s all I care about.

    Cockerel feathering

Is his feathering normal for a bird 3 to 4 weeks old. I’ve never had Easter Eggers, not sure what to look for. The large birds in there are Easter egger pullets, about 6 weeks old.

    Cockerel feathering

Good evening, I have a cockerel I got about three weeks ago(was a few days old when I got him) and noticed his feathers weren’t coming in like the pullets. He is supposed to have been a brown leghorn, but has Greyish blue legs. They are all on 20 to 24 percent feed. Any advice is appreciated...

And if it doesn’t work, they’ll go to freezer camp. These are four weeks, and the heaviest is a cockerel at a bit over one pound.

The white bird is a Cornish rock cross. I free range those and plan to breed for a heavier bird, and will breed to my Orpington.

And since they got the breed wrong , would you say they are pullets? There isn’t larger combs on these like there were on my other roosters, but I’ve never had Easter Eggers before, so I don’t know what to look for exactly.

    Pullet identification

Good morning, I got these pullets a month ago, and was wondering if anyone could give me an id on them. They are the dark ones. When I bought them, the sales people said they were brown leghorns, and I have some brooding with them, and they look different. Plus these have blue or grey legs. I’m...

    Bloody Chicken Egg Coating

Usually happens when a blood vessel ruptures when laying. It happens when birds are new to laying or haven’t laid in a while.

    What breed is my pullet?

Try putting them together at night when it’s dark out and they can’t see each other or the pullet.

But they are growing since the last time you posted though. Keep up the good job!

You’re still going to have to wait longer. In another four to six weeks, post back and I can tell then.
