Your husband told me on the way out that he would have his "eye...
EXCELLENT IDEA AND I APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORTS. I FILLED OUT THE CONTACT SHEET AND SUBMITTED IT BUT IT DID NOT SHOW UP....MAYBE THERE IS A DELAY PERIOD. Bob P.
Is anyone bringing any Bantam Silkie Chicks to the swap? I am very interested in acquiring 4-6 in preferably white but will consider other colors. Please PM me if you are bringing any and provide details as to color, sex, date of hatch, and cost.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

A few weeks ago I purchased a pair of Serama Bantams at a chicken swap in Florida. They are about 4 months old and the hen has started laying on Aug 3rd...4 eggs so far with about 1 every 2 days or so. I find them in the pine shavings litter and put them in a very visible nest box but she is...
Among numerous critters, I have two large, mixed breed goats and a large Rhode Island Red (Henry III) rooster running free. The rooster has bonded with the goats and spends a lot of time in the goat pen. On several occasions I have watched him jump up on top of one of the goats early in the...
I recieved 17 Cochin Bantam chicks today that were hatched on July 20th...5 Buff, 6 Black, 6 White. At what age will I be able to tell which are cockrels and which are hens? Thanks in advance for any responses....Bob P., NE FLA
I will be using colored, numbered Bandettes....at what age can I safely band my Cochin Bantams? The bandettes look expandable for growth but I do not want to cause any problems. Also, because this breed is full feathered, including the legs, will this be a problem. Not necessarily raising...
Please add me to your list...live outside of Keystone Heights, FL...currently have 13 Rhode Island Red hens and 2 roosters + 2 chicks...2 Emus...16 geese...3 Muscovy ducks and 15 Cochin chicks coming in on July 22.

I am not sure about Sebastopol geese, but I have 3 Brown Chinese yard geese that roam free all day without any problem...I do put them in a barn at night with a bucket of water. I raised each of these from the egg and they are quite friendly, except for the female occasionally. They seem to...
I believe the temperature should be 99 degrees F and I think your humidity may be too low....should be about 50-55% for the first 18 days and then 65% until hatched ("A Guide to Better Hatching" by Janet Stromberg). Also, as previously posted be sure you clean your incubator thoroughly between...
