    Best one we could get. Almost seems like she is falling asleep standing up. She feels smaller so to speak, almost boney. You can see her wings hanging down further than normal

    She is about 18 weeks, not laying eggs yet, we use blue seal food, we have had her since she was a chick, the weather is cooling off, we are in Northern Vermont

    So we have an Americana who is acting really lethargic, she has lost weight, she seems to be sleeping while standing up. She isn't walking funny, she seems to run just fine but we are concerned she may be sick with the way she is acting. We don't have a vet close by, any ideas???

    He is eating and drinking. I just added a vitamin supplement to his water. Maybe not 6 months yet. None are laying eggs yet.

    No swelling, redness, or signs of marek's. But I know there are many types. It's looking more grim for us minute, by minute. We really appreciate all the input.

    I do, but surprisingly none that check chickens. In my neck of the woods, they are pretty disposable. We like ours though. He looks just like a golden eagle. We may have to take a trip to find a vet. People around here laughed when I asked for a chicken vet.
