Ok thanks, good to know. I had four bacon Gouda from Starbucks in those two days and didn’t really have an issue. And I have not given them any antibiotics or sprays at all.
What would be some signs of an infection? I heard once that molasses kind of flushes their digestive, would it be too much to try that out? The only other thing I noticed different about their eggs is when cracked sometimes there is a little black thing in there.. and I do not have any roosters...
The only thing really that has changed in their diet is I have not been giving them corn and worms the last few weeks or so. Just haven’t had time to run to the feed store before they close.
Interesting... well I had eggs the other two days, just not from my girls. And nothing really has changed in their diet. Do you think the color of the eggs changing and hardness of the shell is nothing to be concerned about?
Hi everyone. So I have 5 hens, for about the last week I have been having really bad stomach pains. Long story short, I eat our hens eggs daily. I stopped for a couple days to test the theory and then had an omelette today and boom severe pain again.
Anyways, I am wondering what would cause...
Hey everyone, so it’s now been a full 5 days since the incident so I figured I’ve give a little update. Although my fiancé was giving me crap for spending so much on them, they seem to have made almost a full recovery and are back in the coupe doing great ! I say “almost” meaning the hen who was...
Will do. So they gave me a steep estimate which would involve a catheter, injections, and keeping them here to watch over them.
To be honest I don’t have that kind of money. And the vet really didn’t seem to optimistic about a solid answer. So I asked for the injections (calcium vitamin A & D)...
No not yet. I even tried giving some meal worms to them which they usually go crazy over. The only water they’ve had was what I gave them in the syringe. Was charged a $300 deposit to get them looked at so I’m hoping we get some sort of closure at least.
Ok they made it through the night. The one that was in worse shape seemed to be doing slightly better, holding her head up today.
So now I’m at the vet and they are basically telling me they’re not sure what course of action to take seeing as there’s not really a test they can run to verify the...
Just unsure if I should be giving her molasses or if that would harm her more than she is already, or possibly make the vitamins in her water pointless. She is still really weak and can not really hold her head up.
