I'm the bright green poo person... wait that sounds wrong.
I'm having the same issue this winter. I said what I said based on the folks that performed the necropsy on my ill ducks. Metallic green poo is BAD. I've been seeing it around for a week or two now and have been in a constant state...
Ha my geese are the same, if they see me in the window or at the slider and I've not gone out to feed them they peck at the glass. They know I live in the house and if I delay feeding they peck around the perimeter.
I love my geese but I have to admit my first reaction to your "How to geese...
Ah ok good clarification.
I would still caution about the 2" base on the ground. I lost 14 birds from a dig-under. Yeah I had no wire but I was amazed that 2-3 coons (based on later trapping) could get into that little tunnel and kill everypne. Seems safe flat on the ground but an easy...
I have no help for you but I'm so glad you ave the update. I have a hen that's not quite as reliably wheezing as your tom but is still gurgling.
Like yours he poop is normal colored, she's eating fine. She seems a little lethargic but it's been hot so it's tough to say.
I hope for both our...
Oh I'm so sorry, that's very hard.
At the risk of being insensitively pragmatic - if you have other birds, since one of these died, make certain you isolate the rest from these new ducks for at least a month. Make sureyou wash your hands and any clothes they come into contact with before you...
Are you talking about me being able to have one or you? Remember, having opinions goes both ways and neither way obviates you from a different opinion.
Were I like you I would get all defensive right now because you think I'm mean, don't like my opinion and don't think I'm sad.
Instead...
I suspected as much, too. But I'm ever (and stupidly) the optimist. The scovies are totally evil (but I will never love anything else as much as a scovy duck - as badly as they influence and harass everyone else)
This is very unfair of you, MrsDolittleDuck.
I would actually say the solution would be for Rememberthedeer to get more ducks so the remaining Pekin would be with its own kind. It sounds like that's not an option right now so RTD is trying to make the remaining Pekin as happy as possible...
Here's a like to some sound files on the difference between drakes and ducks:

1) I think (I'm not overly familiar with mallard or Khakis much less a hybrid) you can expect them to lay in about 6 months.
2) No idea but since the Khaki is...
Well the pond is no farther away than I could put a kiddy pool and SO MUCH more enticing.
And the little jerks decided they wanted to try their luck outside last night. They stayed in the water but by the scovies - the two don't even like each other!
BUT - I had been leaving the feeder down...
I was going to edit but - yeah.
This is a really good point. I wake up early and let them out not long after it's more than "dawn". And YES - if you're going to leave food in teh coop you need to be extra certain that it's secure and be diligent about checking for animals "testing" their way...
I used pressure treated lumber for my coop. There's plenty of ventilation and it's not like ducks chew like rabbits and everyone's been doing fine (if they go into the dang thing). I use a hoop house covered with a tarp and insulated with straw bales (which are eventually broken up and used...
I meant to post this before - That's actually really good news. I lost my favorite bird which happened to be my scovy drake this spring but fortunately he mated his (unrelated) women first. Many of the offspring look and act like him so I was hoping to further that line so this is great news...
