    Why do ducks do this?

They stick their beaks into the mud and gurgle it about and then proceed to clean their beaks by dunking it into the water, which causes it become instantly dirty and ready to change. It's so annoying! Link to video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CBVE2MIzDIoAs172VlC3ddPxxzG0aSLZ/view?usp=drivesdk

    Why is my duckling wobbling?

Quick update, she seems much more willing to drink the concoction I made, but she's still not too keen on eating and she keeps walking like a drunk man. Also a lot of flipping over. I measured her and she weighs in at 205 grams

    Why is my duckling wobbling?

She's reluctant to eat, but manages to drink some. I'll try the mirror

    Why is my duckling wobbling?

After this picture was taken she started to have basically water poops, almost no colours. Maybe she's just stressed? I gave her some electrolyte water and acv.

    Why is my duckling wobbling?

Okay, I've isolated her, much to her dismay. She has not stopped yelling loudly for the other ducklings. I weighed her and she's about 210 grams. Picture of poop is also posted. I will be preparing a cocktail shortly.

    Why is my duckling wobbling?

About a month ago our ducklings hatched and until this point they all looked pretty healthy and lively. However since a week ago, I noticed this one duckling looking slightly smaller than the rest and more lethargic. She still eats as far as I can tell, haven't seen her drink in front of me...

Chick is making gurgling noises when peeping.

Hey everyone, my hatchings are now a few weeks old and for the most part they're doing fine except 5 of them, which looked slightly lethargic. I took them inside and notices that their crops were empty. I soaked some bread in warm water and added a decent amount of vinegar into the mix and let...

    Chick with leg injury

Wouldn't a regular pharmacy have just vitamin B medication? I think it would certainly be an injury, as we have ducks who may have gotten a little too excited, but I can't confirm. Other than wanting to sleep, she doesn't seem weak. She did eat a bit on her own but I gave her some regular feed...

    Chick with leg injury

Unfortunately the closest pharmacy is closed on saturday and sunday, and the best thing I have are Supradyn multivitamins and it has Vitamin B 1,2,6,12 along with a C K D A E and a ton of minerals. I have no idea how much vitamins you can give to chickens. She's sleeping now.

    Chick with leg injury

Hey everyone! I noticed that my chick seemed to be huddled in a corner and I saw that she was being pecked by other chickens. Her feathers looked fluffed up, as if she was trying to keep warm. I took her inside for a few hours to both feed and keep her warm. Upon further inspection, I saw that...

    Rooster losing balance and sleepy.

I think I might be able to get some tetracyline and albendazole at a pharmacy, but I think I need a prescription to get it, but I'm not sure. Any idea how to convince them to give it to me?

    Rooster losing balance and sleepy.

I'm around the Ruen, Bulgaria region, and I feel like people around here really don't take illness in animals seriously, they simply say "it's sick" and do not much more than that. I did feed him some wet regular feed and chick starter and ground up a few small pebbles in it, as grit. He seemed...

    Rooster losing balance and sleepy.

Well that sure doesn't sound great. I can't be certain but it feels like it isn't blocking anything as I can feel the corn in his crop which is below the fatty deposit. When I asked my vet about some medication for canker in my hen, he gave me a "cousin" of that drug which obviously did not...
