I would pull the metal roof, lay down some plywood and then attached the metal roof to it. Your roof is at a slant,is it not? Can't tell by photos. Good luck.
Test the nipples by pushing up and down on them to see if they are flowing. If your bucket lid is sealed tightly, there is no air flow. That's been my case in the past. I start my new chicks off on a nipple so they are acquainted with it from the beginning.
My hens do not want to eat their feed inside the coop, they rather scratch for it off the ground but I don't want it outside because the wild birds eat it if the hens just leave it lie. How can I encourage them to eat indoors? It just goes untouched indoors. Thanks for your input.
