I remember seeing pics of him here before. What a great bird! At least he was loved and had a good life with you. Much better than many birds get. I tell myself this everytime I lose one. Then I go out and give another one a great life and love.
She seems to rattle as soon as she gets in the dirt but is goes away as soon as she is inside for a few minutes. It is real dry here,could it be something in the dirt?
Forgot to mention....they eat pretty good and walk around ok. But one is kind of sluggish. I can tell something is not right but don't know where to go next. No others seem to be sick and we have not seperated them. I see no mite or other bug probs.........

We feed ours cold snacks in the afternoon most days. I buy the biggest watermellons I can find and chill them. The girls love it. Also cold corn on the cob when on sale. The girls tell me it helps a lot. And you know you can always believe them. I am sorry for your loss. That is so hard to take...

i have a banty roo that has a foot fetish. We let him in the house to play and he will make love to my slippers or my wife's shoes if he can find them. Sometimes he tries to love my feet too. He is such a horny little bird! But not mean,just a lover.
We have used the feather duster many times. Works well. Then at nite we just hold the little ones till they sleep. They become so friendly as they grow up. Even if they think every feather duster is Mom!
I am not the expert but I had some worm problems after a time of rainy weather here too. There was several hens sick and we lost some before I got injectable Ivermectin and saved a couple since then. Real sick,not eating,bloated a lot etc. saved 2 but about a month later I have another sick...
