We are club members and I've sought mentors, but people don't seem very willing to mentor.
As far as types of goats, my kids say dairy. Our club is ag, but is not goat specific.
Hello! I am looking for someone who has experience with the 4H goat program. I have two boys who are interested in doing a goat project, but find that it is difficult to find anyone who actually wants to explain requirements to me. I need to know things like what makes a good goat v. a poor...
Hello. I didn't see anything about this in the sticky. I want to buy a few females. Does anyone have a recommendation for PA? I am near Washington, about 30 miles SW of Pittsburgh. I only need a few and I want to be sure of sex. Thanks!
Hi. We went to Rural King tonight and the chicks were very poorly labeled. I could identify some, but I'm not sure about these. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you. I've decided to put my camera into my car. I have an excellent zoom lens and it will be easier to try to pick up the details as far as shape, etc.

I am also new and I am raising quail for meat and eggs. I am primarily interested in being self-sustaining. Could someone point me in the directions of where to start reading so that I understand this thread? Should I be looking somewhere else for info?

Can you free range your chickens? This gets a little sticky. I was free ranging them, but they got too comfortable and started wandering to the neighbor's garden...
