Hi Peeps, I need advice please.
This is my first attempt of introducing a new flock of 4 to 1 older 5 yrs old hen.
My 4 ( two and half month old chickens) have been introduced slowly and are now in the same coop. There are a few issues. The first issue is that 1 of them is a silkie. They...
The other concern is that the other chickens are not quite themselves too. One has lost quite a bit of weight. I will look into getting a fecal float done. Appreciate your input.
Hi BYC peeps, I have a sick Australorp. She is about 5 years old. A few days ago she was walking and all of a sudden her tail would drop. Then she was having issues walking in general. She was sitting very fluffed up. Now two days later she is laying on her side. I have her quarantined now from...
Hi BYC Group,
I have a 2 yrs old golden wyandotte that today is lethargic and had a yellow white liquid coming from her vent. I gave her a bath and did not notice any shell pieces or egg around her vent. It was not prolapsed either. I also noticed that her toe nails look longer than everyone...
She was laying and had an egg yesterday so I don't think it was egg bound. I read up on the heart attack but she was not found keeled over. She was snuggled into a corner of the coop. So, it was almost like she had been not feeling well. Ugh, I just have no idea ;o(
I haven't been on in awhile. Just lost a chicken last night. I have no idea why so I posted the questions. Just wanted to tell you that both my boys graduated from St. Martins of Tour and Bellarmine as well ;o) So, go Bengals and Bells!
Hi All, I lost a chicken today. I have not noticed anything wrong with her except that her comb looked a bit floppy to one side and dry. It was not dark at all. She was super active and healthy over the weekend when free ranging. Any ideas? I am a bit freaked out right now for my other 3 girls ;o/
Hmmmm....never really thought about it because there is a Central area as well but if you had to draw the line I think it would be San Luis Obispo area.
