I am new to the breed with 12 little ones in my brooder. Was hoping someone could help me identify sex of 2 week olds or direct me accordingly. We've guessed but I'd like to to know for sure.
Would you describe the material as similar to salt crystals on the exterior of the shell? We too have material on the outside of several newly set eggs...haven't incubated eggs in 30 years. This material was not on the eggs when we set them in the incubator. Please advise!
Hennyhandler, it's been a long time since I hatched and bators have seriously changed. Kids and I are learning together. Staggered hatch is a result of chicken math! Room in the bator is a problem....
