Thanks for the compliment and get your husband to building. When I am done with this coop I am going to advertise it for sale and begin to build another because I love to build things and a little extra money is always nice too!

Thank you XVBarker I do have a miter saw and it does show an angle of 45 degrees to cut and I did cut that angle but 45 degrees is too high. But I did not cut it at 22.5 degree, but I will try it today. That's ok, you can judge and give me some pointers, I'm up for criticism...
MamaChic21, Do you have a miter saw? If you do cut your roof trusses at 22.5 degree angles and when you put them together it forms a 45 degree angle which is what I am using on my roof. If you knew this I appologize and was in no way judging your construction. Very nice job so far!!!
Thanks for the compliments. My plans are to frame it up in the garage then disassemble it and take it out in the yard to put it back together. As heavy as it will be I'd say I would need a fork truck to move it! lol
I started this coop a few days ago and thought I would post a few pics of my progress. We have 8 baby Production Reds we bought at Tractor Supply and figured we better get started on the coop. I am trying to build it like the 5x6 on Horizon Structures website and I think its going to turn out...
Thanks mons02035, I had found that info but I cant afford the price they want for the coop. I want to build it myself but I dont want to attempt it without plans. Thanks again though!
I have 6 Red Stars and they were born some time around Valentines Day. They seem very happy but they are not laying eggs yet and that seems to be a little late to me. They are not free ranging but we do let them out once in awhile. I am positive that there have been no eggs. I may not be feeding...
