Thank you- this is extremely heartbreaking, and she was actually my last hen of the six I had raised. Once I am done with college- I plan to raise many many more- (Silkies!!) and to be there for them everyday so things like this does not happen!

I have a four year old black australorp who seems to be half dead. I have been away at college and came back today to see her due to my father saying she looked ill. She has lost all her weight..and has no strength to move her feet--so when I put her down her feet is all curled up and wont move...
It really is...but at least they had a great life- considering the fact that most hens do not get the proper care/love. I treated each one as if they were my children..hugs and kisses every night! Haha. I sure do miss them..I just hope she will accept these ducks..she is quite the meany!
