Yeah that what I was afraid :( My poor little girl keeps picking boys
This one is the replacement, we were actually going off of the tail feathers and the lack of a large comb when we picked these out I didn't notice the comb was a pea comb until we got home
The only other chicks that weren't...
New Chick, I just traded my barred rock cockerel chicks and this is the one my daughter picked out,
Whats up with the comb? Cockerel or pullet?

I was actually talking about this guy
But the one in the group pic is from the second group I got and all of them have black on their legs but some of them have really splotchy heads, I swear if I have time in the next couple days I may just take individual pics of them all lol
I'll repost pics of the EE's in a week or two, and the barred one has yellow legs with a tiny bit of black on the top of its feet.
I know the guy we got them from had a barred rocks, leghorns, and a type of red chicken running around. He has a few pens set up but his chickens were all free...

Here is a group pic of the EE
Here is the one with the most...
Those are the 4 oldest chicks, judging by how they looked a week ago and comparing them to the other chicks of the same breeds I think im going to end up with a whole lot of Roosters lol
The ones that confuse me are my EE's I read somewhere ( I think on here actually) that you can tell by...
Silkie makes sense, Thank you!
I knew they were two males an a female though, they like to battle each other every once in a while.
My babies however I am still figuring out I have 4 brown leghorns, 1 white leghorn mix? (the one pictured), 2 barred rock (i'm not convinced thats what they are)...
thank you for your help, BorneHomestead! I found the right place to post my question about the breeds. Apparently im blind because i didn't see it before lol. So im going to delete this post if i can figure out how too
I have three chickens and some chicks I need help Identifying.
For the older three I was told they are mixes the person they came from just didn't specify
Then the chicks I have a "white leghorn" with brown feathers growing in.
I love the little tuft of feathers on the top of the twos head and...
Thank you for replying, I always thought white leghorns are supposed to be white, which is why I questioned them all after I started to read about sex links.
I'm very new to chickens and decided I wanted some dual purpose birds as well as a few others that my husband and kids like, so when I found an ad on craigslist a week or so ago I was thrilled to see they were selling barred rock and leghorns (light brown and white). We drove almost 2 hours to...
Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone can help me find some duck hatching eggs close to Carlisle? I have already tried and failed at hatching some out and I would love to be able to try again before spring but I don't want to ship eggs until I have a little more experience hatching them. I'm...
I'm starting to think they might be runner mixes one of the likes to stand tall and they both do it when they run.
If I can get an ok quality video I'll post it but either way thank you for the replies :)
