You mean once I move the chicks outside keep her separated so she doesn’t get bullied by the older hens? Seems like she has two protectors right now that come right to her if she starts chirping loudly. Hopefully they’ll always be her buddy.

I have (6) cockerels that need to be rehomed. I found homes for two of them at this time, but need to find homes for the rest. They are black copper marans/cream legbar mixes. About 4 months old. Just starting to crow and messing with my hens.
I put them together knowing silkies had a sweet temperament. Do you think it’s safe to assume this silkie is a female? Or do you think a cockerel would also act this way with baby chicks?
