    Thank you for this advice! This is encouraging, I'm relieved to hear they can more or less all be on the same feed. My egg layers already have an oyster shell station, and they can show the meat birds where the grit station is (though I'll add a few more to help spread everyone out).

    Oops, sorry for such a delayed response! I followed the instructions on the package (https://birdpalproducts.com/products/tylosin-powder-for-birds) and gave 1 tsp per gallon for 7 days, and changed the water daily. I also kept my birds in the run so they could only access the treated water.

    Thank you for the feedback! I agree, my chickens always go on a hunger strike after 3-4 days when I fully separate them, I'm sure she'll do better by going home at night and still seeing everyone during the day.

    Thank you for such a quick response! I'll go ahead and treat the chickens, I agree that medicine has a time and a place! Good idea to follow up with probiotics and natural immune system boosters, as well. I'll post an update in 1-2 weeks here once all the treatments run their course!
