    Beware the sticky fly strips.

    Last summer I had a fly strip in the barn. While cleaning the barn one day one of my hens steps on the strip, not the tack, and she has had a limp every since. It doesn't seem to bother her, she just stays closer to the barn when I let them out to free range. I will never use them again.
