About 11 weeks now. Still a roo?

Just wanted to report Lacey is fully healed and is happy to vet back with her flock. Now that I see how it looks all closed, I'm amazed she didn't die or suffer more. She's turning into a beautiful little hen.

I got the Vetricyn today and just used it... it must burn or itch, because she has been pecking at her own back since I put it on. She keeps trying to shake it off, and is suddenly preening, too. I did not use that much, maybe 2 sprays? Is this normal? I don't know how to keep her off of her own...

Hubby made the mistake of throwing table scraps in the pen with the babies loose with the big girls (we've been keeping them close, but separated, I do not know WHY the babies were loose)... anyway, he said it happened really fast, they attacked the 7-8 week old BB girl and they got the back of...

I know this is old, but I wanted to update in case anyone is comparing pictures, like I often do. Squeaker and Nugget are both indeed girls. Nugget makes a lovely blush egg and Squeaker a pale blue/green. They are HUGE birds (about as big as our cuckoos) and continue to be bigger than our 3rd...

Bummer, anyone else? What is it? The slow feathering? The comb is pinking up a good bit, but not as red as I've seen here (I did look) and the wattles are JUST coming in. She's taller and has much thicker legs than the others, but is a big wuss, too.

I have to say that we were told "some were 3 weeks and some were about 5 weeks", but they also did not even have ANY Brahmas and our one little girl is clearly a Buff Brahma (sold as an Auracana), so I don't really trust much that they had to say. There were a LOT of birds in the incubator...

Yeah, the more I looked at her, the more I was like "there is no way she's what they said"... I get that it's a feed store and they seemed relatively ignorant to chickens in general, but we bought our 6 from them last year and they have been the BEST birds (3 EEs- sold as Americanas and 3 cuckoo...

Well dang, let me try that again... I was told she is 3-4 weeks, too, if that helps .
