Hello,
I rescued two silkie x silver sebrights and unfortunately I noticed tonight as we were getting them settled in that they are infested with mites. I need to know what is best to treat them and rid them of them. Natural or chemical, so long as it works and we can get it taken care of...
Unfortunately the people I got them from weren't taking care of them properly. I kinda took them in as a rescue. They have mites pretty bad if you have any suggestions on the best way to naturally get rid of them, I would appreciate it a lot.
I was told these are White Silkie (mother) & Silver Sebright (father) chickens. They were hatched 10/11 so a lil less than 4 weeks old. If anyone could help me sex these cute lil guys, Id appreciate it

Thank you.
I knew someone would say that! Fortunately live in the city and have back to back neighbors and 6 or 8 ft tall fences all the way around our yard. We also have 2 very protective pit bulls that adore their chickens. They greet them every morning when they come out of their coop. We dont get many...
About 8 to 9 weeks I believe. Maybe a week or two older cuz they told me they were only a week old at the hatchery but they looked more like 2 to 3 to me.
Can anyone tell me if this looks like a easter egger rooster? Its super friendly, runs up to us all the time, and loves to be held. All 5 of the others only come up to us when its time to eat. If you look closely at the leg picture, there seem to be spurs starting, but ive heard thats a trait...
Oh,ok, thats makes since! Now that their breeds been determined, anyone have any hints or tricks to sex the birds? Last time we did chickens we bought pre-sexed females. These came from a friend though, who got straight run. Ive never tried to determine gender before...
