    yea shes fine and happy . the crop is not as large as it was when we were feeding bread but its been about 5 days now since i stopped the bread .. its not looking too big i might go to pets paradice later today and see if they stock anything like oyster shell grit . thanks very much..

    thanks Lunachick. no i havnt named my chooks although i like to sit down and pat them everyday and talk to them if no ones looking. i love my hens and i wouldnt even think of eating one of them., im reading some of the posts now about crops . her crop is still there but i think its not...

    Wildsky ..when you say Make sure they're getting a little grit (small stones/pebbles) . are they eating that all day walking around the back yard.? they are let out all day everyday , i think thats what u mean anyway ..and i live in melbourne /au.. and warren i also give layer pellets...

    yea thanks very much .. i just looked now and its much better .. what can i hand feed them by hand that they will like and wont cause problems .. now that im not hand feeding them bread anymore they dont come up to me as much ..and they dont like me as much:( ..thx

    thanks for your help . i will wait a week before i let them out , that will give me time to patch up the fence all aroung.. i hope they dont fly over it cause theres a large park next door, and il never catch them. .also i will not feed as much leftovers to encourage...
