  • Hi Sarah!! I hope your day is going well for you today. :-)
Ok...My Pollus are driving me crazy!! Ha! I do a lot of studying of wild birds and of course all the species names are in Latin. So someday I would love to learn all these nouns for the different species so I know what I am reading about and can put them into classes easier for ID purposes. LOL
Have a fantastic day today!!! :-)
Well then, I think both Daisy and Rosie are just not ready to lay yet. I do think that Rosie is going to be first to lay. Her comb is much larger and more red than Daisy's. My Rocks supposedly lay around 20 weeks. I am surprised they are such early layers. My Aussies didn't lay until 24 and 25 weeks of age.
Ok, what is the Latin word for CHICKEN?! :-)
Ok...did some research. Buff Orps average laying age is 24 to 28 weeks. So Daisy still may have time to grow yet. Rosie looks like she is getting close. What breed is Rosie? We will get down to the bottom of this yet!!
Oh, and glad to hear Latin is easy! You need to teach me! :-) Nothing better than chickens in the classroom. Hahaha!!! :-)
My uncle who I just saw 3 days ago died yesterday. We were kind of close. Since my 2 real grandpas died he's been like my 3rd grandpa. So I get Friday off from school so my family can drive down to the Twin Cities for his funeral.
Good morning Sarah! Wow, you had a LONG day yesterday!!! Glad you survived your first day at school! :-)
OH, guess what!! Crazy Comb Ethel squatted for me this morning!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha! Eggs should be coming down the pipe soon!!! Yay!!!!
Have a fantastic day today!! :-)
No, it was wild. I haven't changed it in a while though, so I did. And your profile pic is so true! I love it!
