Love your new pic and avatar! Yes, TwoCrows has such good advise!! She's explained SO many things to me I didn't know, including molting. It's chilly here as well! I have to wear a jacket almost all day. But I like the cold though. It's so much better than the heat if you ask me! How are you, Henry, and your chickens?

Sounds like you have a very nice flock! I keep Black Australorps and Barred Rocks. The BR's are about to turn 20 weeks this Wednesday and today I got an egg from one of them!! I am so EGG-cited!!! Yay!

Yes, scrambled eggs are great for feather growth too! All the building blocks of life are in an egg. And will help with growing those feathers!
6 hens is a lot of birds! I only have 7 hens. I used to have loads of quail but they have all passed on from old age. I have kept quail for about 10 years now. The few I have left are really old now. Arthritic too. Hobble around like a bunch of old ladies. Ha! Enjoy your evening!
