Aww, congrats on the new birds! I'll read about them in a moment. I'm sorry the introduction didn't go well. I'm well, so is the flock.
We have to coops that are connected, but they are still separate (basically, 14 of my chickens go into one coop, and the other 14 go into the other). And my dad is going to cut a door through a wall so they can all be together. Because its gonna start getting cold soon and they can all stay warmer that way. I hope that made sense, if it didn't I'll PM you a pic. lol
