    Thanks, he I think was protecting another hen who was taken. I don't know exactly what happened which is frustrating. I know my other hen is gone, which well I will be honest I hated that hen but I didn't want her to die that way. I couldn't find any feathers or anything from my rooster, so I am holding out some thin hope that he survived hidden away somewhere and he will make it back today.

    Thanks that is my old dog Mack. He passed away around February, I decided since my last avatar was my deceased favorite chicken I would make an avatar of all my much loved deceased pets that we lost this year in honor of them. Its sad but nice to see his photo when I am on and remember the awesome sweet boy that he was.

    That's so sweet <3 It's not oftenthat hens will accept other chicks.

    Hatching is a blast, and quite addictive :D There's nothing like going out to feed and hearing new peeping under mama hen.

    i'm excited to give it a try, probably not this year though. She was special I am going to try and get a few more white rocks to see if any turn out like her but I doubt it. I'm waiting to see if I make a new special chicken friend now that she is gone. I'm going to cross my fingers for your hatch!
