Back after hiatus. Teenage chickens plus work plus school makes Coop a busy chicken lady.

About to make plans for a new brooder! My back is killing me from crawling in our kennel to clean it out u___u;

Went from intending to order 5 chickens, to ordering 8, ending up with 21, and keeping 10. What a rollercoaster!

Got our chicks home safe and sound! All 8 we ordered made the journey....so did the 13 packing peanuts they sent along with them!

Got the email! The postman a-cometh! Brooder is set, constant 95 degrees with heating, water, and chick starter! Just waiting for the call!

Brooder set-up time! Three more days, but it feels like an eternity.

Can't wait for my little chickadees to arrive Putting together a list of possible names!
