I have a pullet and a cockerel, both are under 6 months. But my pullet got chased around by a dog and hid. When I found her, she let me pick her up and let me put her back in her coop (where she had escaped). She has always been friendly to me and let me pick her up and doesn't run away. The cockerel is very similar. He seems to get slightly defensive though, but only with his tone of voice, so far.
